Gabriel Hemlock is a strong and devoted family man. His job as a construction foreman keeps him busy, but he always tries to make time for his wife and kids. He loves to barbecue and grills some darn good tauros ribs! He's also known to tell "dad jokes" which he finds hilarious, but no one else does. Being a religious man, he believes deeply in Arceus and holds many traditional values which he tries to pass to his children, but he often finds himself frustrated by today's changing world. This nidoking's stubborn nature makes it difficult for him to accept the more modern views of a few of his offspring and he tends to lecture them often, but his most dramatic clashes have been with Jace, his overly emotional middle child. Lately, though, Jace has been maturing and the two of them have been trying to come to an understanding. Gabe loves all of his children and teaches them to be strong, but he has a bad habit of spoiling his youngest daughter, Rebecca. As a nido, he is utterly and eternally in love with his wife and can't seem to keep his PDAs to himself when he's with her, much to the embarrassment of his kids.

Catherine Hemlock is a loving and protective wife, mother of seven, and grandmother of one. She spends much of her time as a housewife, cooking and cleaning to the best of her ability, but she also has a college degree in zoology and is an accomplished breeder and trainer of pet feral pokemon. Her family always comes first, though, and there's nothing she wouldn't do for them if they needed her to. Cathy can be a bit of a worrier. She still sometimes views the children as her babies and tends to become overly motherly when she sees them struggling. She must rely on Gabe to gently remind her to let them grow up. Sadly, her babies are now starting to leave the nest, and while she's happy to see them finding their way in life, it's a difficult change for her. It was especially hard for her to send Jace away to school. She was always closest to him and saw him through the many hardships of his childhood, but she's proud of the man he's becoming and she can see now that it was for the best. Cathy is completely devoted to her husband and loves him like no other. If nidorinas could breed, she would probably still be laying eggs.
